A Day of Elgar

Saturday 6th October 2007
2007 is The Year of Elgar, the 150th anniversary of the birth of the composer loved by many for his choral and orchestral masterpieces.
As a follow-on from our very successful choral days – most recently Paul Spicer's Mozart Requiem – we've invited another choral expert to lead us in a Day of Elgar.

Robert Dean is the Artistic Director of the Philharmonia Chorus, and in that role prepares choirs for performances with the biggest names on the world stage of choral music. He is also a former professional singer, and currently is Professor of Singing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. For experienced singers there is much to gain from working with a conductor of this calibre, and for those who simply enjoy a day of music-making, I can guarantee that Robert Dean will inform and interest you.
The workshops are now being supported by the music retailer and publisher, Lindsey Music, and they will again be present with a stock of new musical gifts and stationery. And throughout the day the welcome team will ply the singers with coffee and home-made cakes and biscuits.
Put the date in your diary – bookings are now coming in and if you would like to secure your place, please:
