The Organ

Built by James J. Buins of Leeds and installed in 1916. It has two manuals, a pedal board, 20 speaking stops and a full range of couplers and combination pistons. The organ was fully restored in 2006 with the help of the Friends of Great Missenden.

St. Peter & St. Paul Music Group

What is the Music Group? Well, we are a group of instrumentalists who contribute to services at St. Peter & St. Paul when invited - which is at least once a month. At full strength we field a violin, 2 flutes, 2 clarinets, 1 oboe, 1 guitar, 1 trombone, 1 cornet, 1 cello, piano and drums.

Depending on the service, we can be an alternative to the organ, but frequently play with it. We have also, up to now, added a few singers to give a lead when there is no choir and to provide solo singing. We play all styles of music and would like to play together more often, whether in services or elsewhere.

Anyone who has an instrument lurking in a cupboard (or in active use) is most welcome to join us. We rehearse usually at 5.30 pm on the Saturday before a service. If interested, you should ring or email:
