Junior Church visit Little Hampden

Members of Junior Church and their parents visited Little Hampden on Sunday 13th July. They attended a Family Communion service at the Church then had a picnic in David and Brenda Harris's garden. A treasure hunt took the younger members round the garden and gave the older ones (and some parents) the opportunity to look round the village

Faure's Requiem

Thank you to everyone involved in the Faure Requiem service last week.  All those who sang including the choir and our soloists Val and Nick, our guest singers and of course Liam and Richard King.  It was a beautiful and moving service.  Thanks also for those who fed everyone between the rehearsal and the service.

Get in "The Zone"

The Zone is our new youth club for 11-15 yr olds to be held in the Oldham Hall every Friday (6:30-8:00pm).  To run the club, Lizzie needs volunteers in the games area and the tuck shop on a monthly rota.  If you think you might be able to help, and would like to know more, please talk to Lizzie (867647) or after church.  Lizzie also needs bean bags for The Zone, if you have one at home that is still in good condition and you no longer need it, please let her know.

More news from the Young People
The Youth service at the beginning of the month was wonderful.  Members of Wyred led and preached, and the music was fabulous.  This is an exciting and growing part of our church life.  Please support it in prayer , and come along to the next one!

New organist and choirmaster appointed

Great news! After due process, advertisements, interview, work with the choir and listening to his organ playing, we were delighted to offer the post of organist and choirmaster to Liam Cartwright.  He has just graduated from the Royal College of Music, and has held two organist posts already.  We look forward to his arrival on 9 September.
