Could you .... Every Now and Then....  Volunteer?

Inside P+P

There are so many different things that you can help with in the church, from cleaning with the Holy Dusters, doing the flowers, serving, being a welcomer, helping with the children and much much more. Do have a chat with Malcolm, our Vicar about what you may be able to help with.

CURRENTLY, but not exclusively, we are looking for people to help with

Streaming services.  Our weekly 10am service is always streamed along with occasional weddings and funerals. The ability to stream services is really important (for example, people joining in from Australia for a funeral) and the church really could do with some more volunteers to join the team. Full training will be provided, it is not difficult. If you think you could help out once a month on a Sunday, cover a wedding on a Saturday or a funeral on a weekday, please get in touch with David david.m.harris@btinternet.com or Office

Serve at the altar. Have you ever felt you were being called to serve at the altar. This is an opportunity for people of all ages to play a vital role in assisting the presiding president at the altar on Sundays and special festivals in the church calendar. If we get enough people to volunteer, the turn to serve may only be once every 7 or 8 weeks (approximately 6 times in a year). Full training will be offered to become a part of a small and dedicated team. Please speak to Malcolm or Stephen Tanno if you would like to find out any further information.

Represent your Church at the Deanery Synod. What is that you ask? Basically, it’s the parishioners’ opportunity to attend the local churches leadership meeting, where you would be voting on items associated with Deanery Governance. Our Deanery is Ellesborough, Great & Little Missenden, Hawridge, The Lee, Prestwood Wendover and Weston Turville. Please speak to Malcolm if you’d like some more information to make a decision.
